Sailing Stopwatches
The RW2 Digital Sailing Watch is most suitable for sailing as it has a prestart countdown option with time of day and stopwatch on the same display. As quoted by a user:
"The time storage and prestart combo would suit me for the sailing race series I sometimes crew in. Prestart fits with the "5 minute warning" etc start sequence and we are asked to submit race start and finish times (time of day) to the results people. The race may be scheduled to start at 11:00:00 but in reality may go at, say, 11:03:15 so can't just rely on the scheduled time.
My best option with the RW2 Digital sailing watch as it stands would be to use flight mode but prestart is useful so I don't have to be fiddling with the watch when we start ... it tends to be a bit busy!"
Alternatively if you just want to take times without storing them in memory we recommend the Fastime DB1 Waterproof stopwatch or the Fastime DB2 waterproof stopwatch.
The SW2 Digital Sailing watch is ideal as it has a large display with stopwatch and countdown timer and is waterproof to 50m
If you want a basic stopwatch have a look at the Fastime 25 entry level stopwatch with a rear battery door or the Fastime 1 Jumbo display stopwatch. Both have the same functions but the Fastime 1 stopwatch is more robust and has a bigger display. However neither are waterproof.
